WELCOME TO THE 2019 FELTERS FLING!

We are thrilled to officially announce the 2019 lineup for Felter’s Fling at Silver Bay WMCA – Conference and Family Retreat Center!

In order for you to be prepared when registration opens, 2019 pricing is listed below.  For those of you who have attended Felters’ Fling in the past, you will notice that the venue has changed.  Silver Bay offers a beautiful setting with a myriad of facilities and activities. A lakefront recreation area with swimming and boating, exercise facilities, walking paths, and an archery center are some of the offerings available for our use.  Since Silver Bay is a full service vacation retreat. Perhaps you would like to bring a guest!  They are are welcome to join you at our block rate.

Online Registration will begin January 6 at 8 pm Eastern Standard Time

Important Note** If you are planning to register for the entire week (both A and B sessions) register through the “Full Conference” portal.  Registration for half-week only sessions will not begin until March 15 on a space available basis.

REGISTRATION DETAILS

When registration opens, you will be able to choose your top 3 choices for both A and B sessions of the conference. If you plan to choose one of the 5-day (A/B) workshops, be sure to select your other choices for both Sessions A and B as we cannot guarantee availability of your top choice.

Please indicate whether you are planning to stay with us at Silver Bay during the conference; 6 nights, 17 meals are included with the Lodging Package. Lodging at Silver Bay is basic (no A/C, TV or phones in rooms). Rooms are single or double occupancy shared bath. Vegetarian and special diet options available.

If you choose to stay off site, Silver Bay will charge a day fee (with/without meals options).

Important note** Felters’ Fling will accept payment by PayPal or check or money order. If you would prefer to pay by check or money order rather than PayPal, then once you have made workshop selections, room and board, and other details, click on the ADD TO CART icon, then the VIEW CART icon at the top of the page. Review your cart then PROCEED TO CHECKOUT.  On the CHECKOUT page click the ALTERNATE PAYMENT OPTION box, when you have completed the items on the page, check the PayPal box to save your cart!  Once done, do not complete the transaction on the PayPal page. Your registration will be activated, with payment pending receipt of check!

CONFERENCE DETAILS

  • Conference Dates: Sunday, August 18 – Saturday, August 24, 2019
  • Full Week Cost (not including room & board): $892
  • Priority is given to full-week participants on a first come, first served basis
  • Maximum 12 participants per workshop; Early registration encouraged!
  • Full Week Conference includes 5 days workshops, mid-week, Vendors Fiber Bazaar and evening programs
  • Meals and lodging available at Silver Bay for additional cost
  • Conference Check-in begins 2:00 pm Sunday, Aug 18; event concludes following breakfast Saturday, Aug 24
  • Session A workshops, Aug 19 – 21; Session B workshops, Aug 22-23
  • Workshop times: 9 am – 5:30 pm daily with a mid-day break from 12:30 – 2 pm.
  • Vendor’s market (Bazaar) takes place Sun Aug 18, 1-6 pm; Vendors may make have inventory for sale on other days by appt.
  • Materials fees are in addition to workshop fees and will vary depending on selected workshops.

Felters Fling Session A half-week conference program begins on 8/18/2019 and ends on 8/22/2017.

Half-week registration will open on March 15 on a space available only basis. You will be asked to choose your top 3 choices for Session A as space availability permits. If you are uncertain take a look at our very talented instructors here.

You will also want to indicate if you are planning to stay at Silver Bay during the conference. Single or double occupancy rooms with shared bath will be on a space available only basis. Lodging is basic (no A/C, TV or phones in rooms). Eleven meals are included with the Lodging Package. Vegetarian and special diet options are available.

ADDITIONAL OPTIONS

Felting Kits $5 – includes bucket, 2 towels, pool noodle, squirt bottle, liquid soap
Vendors – Felt and Fiber Bazaar Information

Vending days will be Sunday August 18 from 2:00 to 6:00, you may arrange to continue to sell goods after Sunday at your convenience.

Vendors should check the student materials list on our web site for what students might need. Of course, participants will also be looking for yummy fibers, fabrics for nuno, embellishment fibers, cool felting tools and equipment. It is also a nice opportunity to sell finished work to an appreciative audience.

Table fees are $25.00 each.  Vending will take place indoors. If you would like to make inventory available throughout the week, you may to do so at your own convenience. You will need to provide your own storage. We will not be responsible for any loss or damage. In the past vendors have stored their inventory in their locked car.

Payment for your space is due by July 1, 2018. Please complete the online vendor registration.  Payment may be made through Paypal or by check made out to Beth Harwood, PO Box 154, Franconia, NH 03580
